My word for this year is patience. People often smile when I tell them that, replying with something like, “Watch out!” Or “You shouldn’t have asked for that!” I understand why they are saying that, and I smile in return. And yet, patience is a fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5 and is one of the characteristics of godly love in 1 Cor 13.
