Calvary University Student Services department hosted a one-day Ladies Conference for Calvary students, faculty, and staff. Julie Ganschow, director of Reigning Grace Counseling Center, was the speaker for the day.

A single woman or single mother must not make decisions based on the popular opinion of her friends. She will be wise if she seeks wise counsel, but will be made a fool if she bows to the pressure of people pleasing versus honoring God (Galatians 1:10).

If you have prayerfully done everything you can think of to help her, and your counselee still seems stuck, remember that there is only one Sovereign, all-knowing Person, and that’s not you. Go to the Lord with your counselee, asking Him to reveal the problem. Ask your counselee to pray. Hearing her prayer may even give you new information!
