let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete,

enough troubles on every side, don’t we? As I think about the depth and
severity of the “various trials” we encounter it is very easy to
become depressed and morose.
world is in trouble spiritually. Our country is also dangling on the edge of
disaster with our economy crumbling, and the threat of socialism becoming more
of a reality. Add to this is far left liberal politicians that desire unchecked
power and I would say we have a major catastrophe waiting in the wings.

enormous offense against God and His people.
will be an unfolding of His plan, determined before the foundations of the
world were set in place. These trials will indeed develop perseverance among
God’s people. It will help us to see who is of us, and who is not.
they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went
out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
not regenerate. They were speaking lies and heresy regarding the Gospel and
Christ. We could also make application to those who, when things get tough and
hardships come abandon their faith. These are people with shallow faith and no

seems as though the ground were removed from beneath our feet. He does not want
us to count on ourselves, or our friends, or any device of mankind. Our great

And through the rivers, they will not overflow you When you walk through the
fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. “For I
am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;… “Since
you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you…”

thought I was leaving, He had never let go.
